Some relationships are built to last, while others easily become expendable. Sylvester Stallone is proving that once again as he leads the new and returning members of the titular group of elite mercenaries in the anticipated action sequel, ‘Expend4bles.’

The mercenaries’ connections are tested in the film’s newly released official trailer. Lionsgate has unveiled the first official trailer for the fourth installment of the hit ‘Expendables’ franchise to support its release on September 22.

Stallone is once again joined on screen by fellow returning series veterans Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture. New additions to the franchise include Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, Eddie Hall, Iko Uwais and Andy Garcia.

Stallone directed the series’ debut and also wrote the script for its first three entries. However, he solely focused on acting for the third follow-up. Scott Waugh helmed ‘Expend4bles,’ while Max Adams and Spencer Coven penned its script.

In the upcoming drama, the Expendables are known as the world’s last line of defense and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table. But new team members with new styles and tactics are going to give new blood a whole new meaning.
