In life’s most frightening circumstances, terror often drives people to survive their initial scare, but it’s that moment when alarm turns into hope that ultimately saves them in the long run. Victoria, British Columbia-based alternative pop-rock singer-songwriter Dale Sheppard is showing the importance of people embracing their resilience during their most harrowing times on his new post-punk single, ‘She’s Sowing Time,’ and its accompanying music video.
Since building his own home studio and embarking on solo musical projects, the synth instrumentalist has been driven by the potent need to fight any obstacle that life presents to him. That lesson has arisen from his increasing writing collaboration with his wife, Kim Sheppard, who proves what a brilliant lyricist she is with the new track.
The duo worked together to pen ‘She’s Sowing Time,’ after Kim became inspired to chronicle her journey of battling cancer in a song. Sheppard composed the tune from a poem his wife wrote about her health scare. The adapted single’s lyrics beautifully reflect the increasing confidence she garnered from the help of her husband that she would overcome her illness. His words of love and strength, which he interwove into ‘She’s Sowing Time’s lyrics, allowed him to create an overall inspirational prose of support.
