The human body has a finite amount of time to thrive on Earth, but a cinematic masterpiece will live on and be memorialized, forever. An iconic genre director is determined to leave a lasting legacy with his last movie in the upcoming horror comedy, ‘Everybody Dies by the End.’
The mystery feature is set to be released on VOD worldwide on Friday, September 22 by Terror Films. In honor of the project’s distribution, Film Factual is premiering an exclusive clip from the feature, which is titled ‘Let’s Go Make a Movie.’
‘Everybody Dies by the End’ was helmed and produced by Ryan Schafer and Ian Tripp, the latter of whom also wrote the script. The comedy stars Bill Oberst Jr. (‘The Devil’s Rejects,’ ‘3 From Hell’), as well as Vinny Curran, Brendan Cahalan, Iliyana Apostolova and Tripp.
In ‘Everybody Dies by the End,’ a documentary crew is hired by larger-than-life horror director, Alfred Costella (Curran). The crew must follow him as he finishes his final film, which ultimately proves to be an all-practical masterpiece with some dark twists.
While discussing ‘Everybody Dies by the End,’ Tripp and Schafer said: “One of my oldest memories as a child is watching shows and movies on TV and thinking it was a portal to that realm and all I’d need to do is peep open the layer between me and the show’s universe inside the TV and then I could be in there with them. The next memory is learning you cannot do this.
“But the beautiful lesson after that heart break is that films are made by the efforts and love of people. They aren’t magical but they are handmade. And that’s how I can be in that universe in the TV – by working on making my own films. Now I’m inside the magic box with my loved ones, best friends and collaborators who I’m entirely grateful for in this life time. We are cinemagicians and we do it because it’s magical,” the filmmakers added.
