The Christmas Classic Exclusive Clip Highlights Malin Akerman and Ryan Hansen Embracing the Wealth of Family Bonding

Being reminded of the appeal of their acquaintances and family in their small hometown during the magical charm of the Christmas season can often convince people to reevaluate their values and the goals they have so determinedly worked to achieve. That’s certainly the case for Malin Akerman and Ryan Hansen’s protagonists in the new holiday romantic comedy, ‘The Christmas Classic.’

Quiver Distribution is releasing the movie today, November 3, in theaters and on VOD. In honor of the feature’s distribution, Film Factual is premiering an exclusive clip from the project. In the clip, Akerman’s character, Elizabeth, visits Hansen’s character, Randy, to convince him to allow her boss to buy his family’s small, rundown ski resort. Randy objects to the sale, and reminds Elizabeth that both of their families’ efforts to keep the property running have immensely helped bring joy to their close-knit town.

‘The Christmas Classic’ was directed by Shane Dax Taylor, who also co-wrote the script with actor Austin Nichols. Besides Akerman, Hansen and Nichols, the rom-com also stars Amy Smart, Carlos Alazraqui (‘Reno 911!’) and Chris Mullinax (‘The Comeback Trail’).

‘The Christmas Classic’ follows Elizabeth as she travels to her small hometown for the holidays, where she has been sent by her real-estate tycoon boss, who’s also her soon-to-be father-in-law, to buy the rundown local ski resort, Ski Alto. She hopes to close the deal and leave the same day so that she can avoid her oddball family. however, her plans don’t go according to plan, as she accidentally bumps into her sister, Lynn Flynn (Smart), and is forced to stay through Christmas.

While in town, Elizabeth must also reconnect with, and convince, Randy, who has run Ski Alto since his father passed away, to close the deal. She’s surprised to realize that she’s charmed by him and the small town she thought she hated. She ultimately finds herself questioning if she should she still move ahead with her plans to marry her rich, trust fund, controlling fiancé, or if she should find something happy and healthier back home, surrounded by love and family?
