Sometimes it takes being personally and professionally rejected in order for people to reassess and achieve their true life goals. That’s certainly the case for actress Louise Linton’s protagonist of Claire in the upcoming romantic comedy, ‘Chick Flick.’
Gravitas Ventures is set to distribute the movie this Tuesday, December 12. In honor of the project’s release, Film Factual is premiering an exclusive clip from the feature.
Besides staring in ‘Chick Flick,’ Linton also wrote and directed the project. She also produced the comedy with Kristen Ruhlin. Linton is joined on screen by Sam Page (‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ ‘Mad Men’) and Matthew Mark Nichols.
The movie’s upbeat soundtrack features songs by 2023 Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter, Kim Petras. The tracks add an extra layer of allure to Claire’s tantalizing on-screen romantic journey.
In ‘Chick Flick,’ upon discovers her fiancé cheated, Claire, a witty, driven fashion columnist, jilts her husband-to-be at the altar. In the weeks that follow she loses her job and hits rock bottom. With nothing to lose and fueled by heartbreak, she turns to online dating and social media to launch her retaliatory dating streak, which includes publicly calling out love cheats.
But when Claire’s dating exploits go viral, things begin to take a toll. That changes, however, when she runs into her first love, Kyle (Page). Torn between her digital crusade and rekindled love, she faces a choice that could change her life forever.
