Icarus Phoenix Premieres Music Video For Indie Rock Single Nostalgia for Arannis Morissette, the Half-Elf Bard

Celebrating the nostalgia of the past while also embracing the promise of the present and future is the powerful journey that musician Drew Danburry and his Baltimore-based indie-rock outfit, Icarus Phoenix, are taking with the new music video for its latest single, ‘Nostalgia, for Arannis Morissette, the Half-Elf Bard.’

The song will be featured on the band’s upcoming five-track indie rock EP, ‘Son.’ The album will be released on Friday, March 1.

Having built a cult following from their three studio albums and eight singles, 2024 looks extremely promising as Icarus Phoenix drops its new record. In order to promote the record, which was produced by Jed Jones (Post Malone, The Killers), the group is preparing for their upcoming Japanese/American tour.

Danburry met Jones at June Audio in Provo, Utah. in November 2022 to track 40 songs in three days with his fellow musicians. Those instrumentalists included longtime friend Jake Bellows of the band Neva Dinova to play additional guitar; Andrew Young on drums; and Justin Pacheco on bass. The group met at the studio after Danburry wrote all of the tunes in 2021-2022 after he and his wife of 13 years got divorced. He was also inspired in part by leaving their eight-year-old son with her to move across the country because of a housing crisis.

Below is the track list for ‘Son’:

1. ‘Different Languages’

2. ‘Enemy’

3. ‘Nostalgia for Arannis Morissette, the Half-Elf Bard’

4. ‘Son (feat. Neva Dinova)’

5. ‘Necessary/Painful’
