Feeling alone in the world can often lead teens to want to explores new identities that they think will empower them and offer them a sense of control. Abby, the protagonist of the new drama, ‘Edge of Everything,’ is one such teen who’s determined to find her true identity in her new reality.
The movie is now playing on VOD and Digital, including iTunes and Amazon, as well as on DVD, courtesy of Lightyear Entertainment. In honor of the coming-of-age drama’s release, Film Factual is premiering an exclusive clip from the project, which is titled ‘Lies.’
‘Edge of Everything’s official distribution comes after it won the Panavision Award for Best Independent Film at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, where it had its U.S. premiere. The feature screened in California after it had its World Premiere at the Munich International Film Festival.
The project marks the feature-length narrative debut of writer-director-producer duo Sophia Sabella and Pablo Feldman. The movie stars Sierra McCormick (‘The Vast of Night,’ ‘American Horror Stories,’ ‘The A.N.T. Farm) as Abby’). She’s joined on screen by Jason Butler Harner, Ryan Simpkins, Emily Robinson, Dominique Gayle, Nadezhda Amé, Drew Scheid, Anthony Del Negro and Mike Manning.
‘Edge of Everything’ shows that 14 isn’t an easy age for anyone, least of all Abby, who’s forced to find her way in the world after her mother’s death. On the cusp of turning 15 and at a delicate moment in life, she’s forced to move in with her father, David (Harner), and his younger girlfriend, Leslie (Friedman-Seitz).
Feeling alone in the world, the angry and determined teen strikes up a possibly dangerous friendship with the carefree and rebellious Caroline (Simpkins). Along the way, Abby also explores new personas, drugs and sexual experiences on the path to finding her place in life.
