The most intense cinematic journeys lead their characters straight from daydreams to feverish nightmares. The new mico-short film, ‘Rabbit,’ is doing just that by offering a window into the subconscious of its young protagonist.
The new experimental thriller, which has a running time of two minutes, is an official selection at this year’s Fantasia International Film Festival. In honor of ‘Rabbit’ playing in the Selection 2024 screening section at this year’s festival, Film Factual is exclusively premiere the short’s poster.
The short is having its North American premiere at Fantasia this week. The short’s Canadian screening comes after it was an official selection at Brazil’s Fantaspoa International Fantastic Film Festival this past April.
‘Rabbit’ is one of 29 shorts that are being presented as part of the Celluloid Experiments 2024 program at the festival. The program is being held this Saturday, August 3 at 3pm ET at Cinémathèque Québécoise in Montréal. The movie’s writer-director-producer-editor, Nathan Catucci, will be in attendance at the screening.
Alma Kustra and Andrea Nehéz star in ‘Rabbit.’ The drama follows a child as he unleashes a malevolent force as his mother prepares dinner.
