Sleep No More Exclusive Clip Features Sebastian Roche Teaching His Sons the Ways of the World

Fathers often teach their children the ways of the world through their actions – even if those choices lead the entire family to turn to petty crime to survive. That’s certainly the case for the protagonists of the neo noir crime thriller, ‘Sleep No More.’

The family’s illicit antics are chronicles in the movie’s 10th anniversary Director’s Cut. The drama’s new cut is opening in limited theaters and on VOD and digital platforms today, Friday, July 26. In honor of the re-release of the feature, which was originally distributed as ‘Phantom Halo,’ Film Factual is premiering an exclusive clip from the project.

Antonia Bogdanovich and Anne Heffron co-wrote ‘Sleep No More.’ The former made her feature film directorial debut on the project. Her late father, Peter Bogdanovich, served as an executive producer on the thriller.

Sebastian Roche, Luke Kleintank and Thomas Brodie-Sangster play the troubled father and sons in the movie. The trio is joined on screen by Jordan Dunn, Tobin Bell, Rebecca Romijn, Gbenga Akinnagbe and Ashley Hamilton.

‘Sleep No More,’ which is set in Los Angeles, follows Warren Emerson (Roché), who once worked as a Shakespearian thespian of renown. However, he’s now struggling with a gambling addiction and alcoholism.

Warren’s son, Samuel (Brodie-Sangster) enchants crowds on Santa Monica’s 3rd Street Promenade, reciting Shakespearian monologues his father taught him. Meanwhile Samuel’s brother, Beckett (Kleintank), a master pickpocket, makes his way through the unsuspecting crowd to score extra cash.

When Warren gets in deep with a vicious loan shark, Roman (Akinnagbe), his sons need to find a way to escape. Their difficult path in the urban decay of Hollywood ends up becoming more like a Shakespearean tragedy then a film about the struggles of growing up in modern society.
