Confronting the struggles people face while contending with their mental health and embarking on a journey to redemption can be an equally daunting and poignant exploration. That’s certainly true for the characters of the new romantic drama, ‘Eating Me Up.’
The movie is now playing on VOD, courtesy of Breaking Glass Pictures. In honor of ‘Eating Me Up’s release, Film Factual is premiering an exclusive clip from the project.
Ricky Burchell (‘One More Dream,’ ‘AM Radio’) wrote and directed the drama. The movie stars Alfred Lamar Pierce II as Daniel, Claire Maultsby as Wendy, Siane Wilson as Leah and Ashanti Harris as Summer.
‘Eating Me Up’ is a gripping narrative inspired by true events. The movie chronicles psychologist Daniel Dawson’s struggle with his own demons while also dedicating himself to his clients. His downward spiral is halted by Wendy, a client battling bulimia.
As Daniel becomes fixated on saving her, he uncovers her dream to sing, which is hindered by severe anxiety. When Wendy takes drastic action during a pivotal performance Daniel arranges, he races against time to prevent tragedy.
