Stealing Jokes Exclusive Clip Haha Davis and Dustin Ybarr Fighting Back Against Thieves

Overcoming hardships and obstacles in order to garner global influence in standup comedy is an informative rite of passage for many contemporary comedians. That’s certainly the case for the ensemble cast of characters of the new action-comedy film, ‘Stealing Jokes,’ which chronicles underdog comedians finally garnering their due recognition.

Freestyle Digital Media will distribute the movie on North American VOD and digital HD internet, cable and satellite platforms, as well as on DVD, tomorrow, November 1, 2024. In honor of the feature’s release, Film Factual is premiering an exclusive clip from the project, which is titled ‘Tony I Poured My Heart Into.’

Mike Young (‘My Man is a Loser’) wrote and directed, and Michael Manasseri and Jeremy Alter produced, ‘Stealing Jokes.’ The movie features veteran and rising comedians and actors, including Jeff Dye (‘The Wedding Year’), Dustin Ybarra (‘Easter Sunday’), HaHa Davis (‘Domino: Battle of the Bones’), Ryu Go Eun (‘Everything’s Trash’), Michael Rapaport (‘Beautiful Girls’), Al Madrigal (‘Night School’) and Manasseri (‘Weird Science’). The comedy also features special appearances from Pauly Shore, Sebastian Maniscalco, Tony Rock and Annie Lederman.

In ‘Stealing Jokes,’ comedian Jake Burman and his friends head out on tour. After getting stiffed for their pay on their first gig, they decide to rob the venue which sets the stage for a hilarious heist through the comedy underworld.

The movie’s digital release coincides with Young’s recently announced 25-city Rock Comedy tour, which began on October 11 in Phoenix. Along with the filmmaker, a handpicked lineup of comic headliners are featured on the tour, with each comedian contributing their unique brand of humor. After touring globally with Bob Saget, Sebastian Maniscalco, Russell Peters and Dave Chapelle, Young penned and helmed ‘Stealing Jokes,’ which is his third feature film, in Detroit, where Rock Comedy will perform its final show.
