Achieving success against all odds, especially in the Archipelago, has been the dream of a lifetime for both the filmmakers and subject of the new documentary, ‘Sweet Störy.’ The movie chronicles the group’s dedication to save a magical café on the remote Swedish island of Rödlöga.
‘Sweet Störy’ is set to have its World Premiere at the Sonoma International Film Festival. In honor of the documentary’s debut on the festival’s opening night, Film Factual is presenting the feature’s exclusive poster premiere.
‘Sweet Störy’ follows Meg Ray, the owner of the beloved and successful Bay Area patisserie Miette, as she embarks on an odyssey to help save a magical café set on the remote Swedish island of Rödlöga. Four hours from civilization and operating without running water or electricity, Ray only has one week to get the cafe open in time for Midsommar. The documentary is an irresistibly delicious story of community, self-discovery, renewal and the power of baked goods.
Sarah Kerruish and Matt Maude wrote, directed and produced ‘Sweet Störy.’ The latter also served as the director of photography, as well as the co-editor, along with Camy James, on the documentary.
