Some people just want more out of their romantic lives, including Dakota Johnson. Her protagonist of Lucy in the upcoming rom-com, ‘Materialists,’ is struggling to decide who’s the best match for her in the feature’s new official trailer.

A24 has unveiled the film’s assets in honor of its upcoming release in theaters on June 13. The trailer shows that Lucy is a young, ambitious New York City matchmaker finds herself torn between her perfect match and her imperfect ex.

‘Materialists’ was written and directed by Celine Song. The movie is the follow-up to her 2023 romantic drama, ‘Past Lives,’ which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay.

Besides Johnson, the filmmaker’s latest project also stars Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal. The rom-com also features a new original song by Japanese Breakfast.
