Any Day Now Exclusive Clip Features Paul Guilfoyle Inspiring Taylor Gray to Pursue What He Truly Wants in Life

Struggling to survive in a lifestyle that isn’t rigged to be fair can feel suppressing for anyone, especially when they feel their goals slipping out of reach. That’s certainly the case for actor Taylor Gray’s protagonist of Steve Baker in the new comedy thriller, ‘Any Day Now.’

The heist movie is opening today on digital platforms. In honor of the feature’s release, Film Factual is premiering an exclusive clip from the project, which is titled ‘Roast Beef.’ ‘Any Day Now’s official distribution comes after it won the Audience Favorite Feature Award at last year’s Boston Film Festival.

The thriller is loosely based on an actual art heist of Boston’s Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. The thieves used the distraction of St Patrick’s Day in the city to walk away with hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of art. The heist is the single largest unsolved property theft in the world. The museum is offering a $10 million reward for information leading to the recovery of the stolen works.

‘Any Day Now’ was launched with an unconventional multi-stage marketing campaign. It started with the release of the museum’s “missing security tape,” which went viral, surpassing 5 million views to date.

Later the film team arranged a pop-up gallery in Chelsea to display the “13 Masterpieces.” Open for free to the public, none of the guests knew whether the paintings were real or not. Then the “FBI” raided the gallery and took the Rembrandt. The pop-up weekend promoted screenings of the movie in New York, Boston and on Kinema, honoring the 35th anniversary of the heist.

In addition to Gray, ‘Any Day Now’ also stars Paul Guilfoyle (‘L.A. Confidential’), Alexandra Templer (‘Only Murders in the Building’), Thomas Kee (‘Blow the Man Down’) and Armando Rivera (‘Wolves’). Eric Aronson wrote and directed the thriller.

‘Any Day Now’ follows Steve, a night watchman in his early 20s who feels his life is already getting away from him: his band is falling apart, he owes a ton of money, and he’s in love with his best friend’s girl. When Marty Lyons (Guilfoyle) comes along and ropes Steve into a world of misfits, oddballs, and lost souls as dirty as the Charles River, Steve wonders if this is a change for the better or if he’s about to make the worst mistake of his life.
