Matt Damon is embarking on a life-changing journey in the official digital poster for the upcoming epic action fantasy movie, ‘The Odyssey.’ Universal Pictures has released the poster for the drama in anticipation of its release in theaters on July 17, 2026.

The feature was shot entirely with IMAX film cameras by Director of Photography, Hoyte Van Hoytema. The project was written, directed and co-produced by Oscar-winning filmmaker, Christopher Nolan through his production company Syncopy.

In addition to Damon, the movie’s ensemble cast also features Tom Holland, who plays Odysseus’s son, Telemachus. ‘The Odyssey’ also stars Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, Benny Safdie, John Leguizamo, Elliot Page, Himesh Patel, Mia Goth and Corey Hawkins.

‘The Odyssey’ is a screen adaptation of the ancient Greek epic poem ‘Odyssey’ by Homer. Damon plays Odysseus, the king of Ithaca. The drama chronicles his long and perilous journey home following the Trojan War, as he attempts to reunite with his wife, Penelope.
