They’re not just at Freddy’s anymore. The animatronic friends of Piper Rubio’s character of Abby aren’t done with her and her family yet in the anticipated sequel, ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s 2.’
Universal Pictures and Blumhouse will unveil the new supernatural horror movie in theaters on December 5. In honor of the drama’s release, the distributor and production company have premiered the official trailer for the feature.
The upcoming feature serves as the follow-up to ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s,’ which was the highest-grossing horror movie of 2023. The series’ second installment is based on Scott Cawthon’s blockbuster game series of the same name.
The upcoming drama was directed by acclaimed genre filmmaker, Emma Tammi (‘The Wind,’ ‘Blood Moon‘), who also helmed the first screen adaptation in the franchise. Like its predecessor, ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s 2’ was also produced by Blumhouse founder and CEO, Jason Blum (‘M3GAN,’ ‘Black Phone,’ ‘Halloween’ franchise) and Scott Cawthon.
‘Five Nights at Freddy’ followed Mike (Josh Hutcherson), a troubled young man who reluctantly takes a job as a night security guard at an abandoned theme restaurant, Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, hoping it will help him retain custody of his young sister. That fateful decision instead drags him into the black heart of a supernatural nightmare.
