Actor Tyriq Withers is sacrificing his safety to become the greatest of all time in the new trailer and posters for the upcoming horror film, ‘Him.’ The assets for the anticipated feature are promoting the drama, which Universal Pictures will release in theaters on September 19.

‘Him’ is the latest movie from Oscar winner Jordan Peele and Monkeypaw Productions, the producers of such landmark genre projects ‘Get Out,’ ‘Us,’ ‘Candyman‘ and ‘Nope.’ Their latest film features a chilling journey into the inner sanctum of fame, idolatry and the pursuit of excellence at any cost.

Withers, who also starred in the recent hit horror movie, ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025),’ joins Marlon Wayans, Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker and Jim Jefferies on screen in ‘Him.’ The upcoming drama features a dynamic supporting cast including alternative comedy legend Tim Heidecker (‘Us’) and Australian comic Jim Jefferies (‘The Jim Jefferies Show’). MMA heavyweight fighter Maurice Greene, hip hop phenoms Guapdad 4000 and Grammy nominee Tierra Whack also made their feature film debuts in the new drama.

Justin Tipping (‘Kicks’) directed ‘Him’ from an acclaimed Black List screenplay by Zack Akers, Skip Bronkie (creators of the sci-fi crime series ‘Limetown’) and Justin Tipping. Peele produced the movie alongside Ian Cooper (‘Nope,’ ‘Us’), Win Rosenfeld (‘Candyman,’ ‘Lovecraft Country’) and Jamal M. Watson (‘Hala, Sprinter’) for Monkeypaw Productions. David Kern and Monkeypaw’s Kate Oh executive produced the film.

‘Him’ follows rising-star quarterback Cameron Cade (Tyriq, himself a former college wide-receiver), as he devotes his life, and identity, to football. But on the eve of professional football’s annual scouting Combine, Cam is attacked by an unhinged fan and suffers a potentially career-ending brain trauma.

Just when all seems lost, Cam receives a lifeline from his hero, Isaiah White (Wayans). The latter, a legendary eight-time Championship quarterback and cultural megastar, offers to train Cam at his isolated compound that he shares with his celebrity influencer wife, Elsie White (Fox). But as Cam’s training accelerates, Isaiah’s charisma begins to curdle into something darker, sending his protégé down a disorienting rabbit hole that may cost him more than he ever bargained for.
