Dark Sky Films will release ‘Chain Reactions’ in New York City at Regal Union Square and in LA at Laemmle NoHo on September 19. The movie will then expand nationwide on September 26.

The project was also an official selection at the Telluride Film Festival, Sitges, BFI London Film Festival, San Francisco International Film Festival, Fantastic Fest, Beyondfest and Karlovy Vary Film Festival.
Alexandre O. Philippe wrote and directed ‘Chain Reactions.’ Kerry Deignan Roy produced, and Robert Muratore co-produced, the documentary.
Kim Henkel, who co-penned ‘The Texas Chain Saw Massacre‘ with Hooper, served as an executive producer on the documentary. He was joined by fellow executive producers Ian Henkel, who starred in ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation’ and produced ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre.’ Pat Cassidy, Hamza Ali, Badie Ali and Greg Newman also executive produced the new movie.
Fifty years after ‘The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’ shocked the world and forever changed the face of global cinema and popular culture, ‘Chain Reactions’ charts the movie’s profound impact and lasting influence on artists around the world. The artists share their early memories, sensory experiences and childhood trauma related to the narrative film. By crafting a dynamic dialogue between contemporary footage and never-before-seen outtakes and delving into personal impressions triggered by distinct audiovisual formats, the documentary goes to the heart of how a no-budget independent film wormed its way permanently altered the zeitgeist.
