Even the most improbable dreams are worth chasing, especially after setbacks have long overpowered a community’s journey. That’s certainly true for the fast-growing, Los Angeles-based Premier 7-on-7 football league. The athletes’ desire to make a name for themselves and achieve their goals, both on-and-off the field, is highlighted in the new football documentary, ‘Trillion Boys.’
Strike Back Studios is releasing the film in North America today, Tuesday, October 14. A.J. Callens directed the movie. The documentary features USC wide receiver DJ Jordan, USC quarterback Jack Stupin, and Trillion Boys 7-on-7 team co-founder Josh Stupin and coach Chris Hawkins. Jesse Murphy of Jesse James Films and Alex Levine of Levine Films served as a producer on the project.
‘Trillion Boys’ charts the meteoric journey of an elite high school 7-on-7 football team, starting with its development. The movie follows an aspiring teen athlete playing for his family, a defamed coach seeking a fresh start and two young team owners striving to make a name for themselves, both on and off the field.
The documentary shows how 7-on-7 football is the fastest-growing, no-pads, high-speed showcase for skilled players. With high school athletes now eligible for NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) deals, it’s more relevant than ever for the next generation of stars to gain exposure.
