The Wilderness Exclusive Clip Features Hunter Doohan is Starting His Journey to Rehabilitation

Hunter Doohan is starting his new journey to rehabilitation in the upcoming drama, ‘The Wilderness.’ The actor is bringing the real-life experiences of the film’s writer-director, Spencer King in a wilderness therapy program to the screen in the feature.

Dark Star Pictures will release the movie in theaters this Friday, October 17. In honor of the project’s distribution, Film Factual is premiering an exclusive clip from the feature, which is titled ‘Start Your Journey.’

Emmy-winner Aaron Paul and Academy Award-nominee Amy Berg (‘Deliver Us from Evil’) produced ‘The Wilderness.’ Besides Doohan, who’s currently starring on the hit Netflix series, ‘Wednesday,’ the movie also stars Lamar Johnson (‘The Last of Us’), Sam Jaeger (‘The Handmaid’s Tale’), Aaron Holliday (‘Cocaine Bear’), Matt Gomez-Hidaka (‘Eddington’), Sean Avery (‘Oppenheimer’), Vinessa Shaw (‘Hocus Pocus’) and James Le Gros (‘Drugstore Cowboy’).

‘The Wilderness’ follows a group of troubled teenage boys are kidnapped from their homes and taken deep into the unforgiving Utah desert, where they are forced into a brutal and secretive “Wilderness Therapy” program. With no contact with the outside world, their only way home is to earn the approval of the enigmatic program director—whose motives are far from therapeutic. As the line between rehabilitation and manipulation blurs, the boys must decide whether to survive the program or escape it.
