Madelaine Petsch is facing the masked killers one last time in the final film of ‘The Strangers ‘ trilogy. The actress’ protagonist of Maya is having a brutal, full-circle reckoning of survival and revenge in the upcoming third entry, ‘The Strangers – Chapter 3.’

Lionsgate will release the new horror movie in the U.S. on February 6, 2026. In honor of the project’s distribution, the film studio has debuted the project’s official teaser trailer.

The new drama serves as the direct sequel to this fall’s hit follow-up, ‘The Strangers – Chapter 2.’ The series began with last year’s hit reboot, ‘The Strangers – Chapter 1.’

Genre veteran Renny Harlin, who directed the first two movies, returned to the franchise to helm the second follow-up. Like the director, producers Courtney Solomon, Mark Canton, Christopher Milburn, Gary Raskin, Alastair Burlingham and Charlie Dombek also returned to the trilogy. Besides Petsch, ‘The Strangers – Chapter 3’ also stars Gabriel Basso and Ema Horvath.

Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland, who penned the first two entries, also returned to the series to scribe the final installment. The current ‘The Strangers’ trilogy is based on characters created by Bryan Bertino. He launched the overall franchise by writing and helming the 2008 movie, ‘The Strangers.’
