Fernando Barreda Luna’s Comedy-drama Café Chairel to World Premiere at the Sonoma International Film Festival 2025

What begins as a simple act of kindness turns into an intimate, revealing friendship between a lonely cafe owner and a wandering young woman. The nuanced, soulful bond between the two protagonists of the new comedy-drama, ‘Cafe Chairel,’ will be shared on screen when the feature has its World Premiere at this year’s Sonoma International Film Festival.

Fernando Barreda Luna wrote, directed and produced ‘Cafe Chairel,’ which was shot in Tampico, Mexico. The movie stars Tessa Ia, Mauricio Isaac, Hernan Del Riego and Leo Deluglio.
