Surviving a terrifying event can often be just the beginning of a victim’s trauma, as they must learn how to grapple with the aftermath of the frightening incident. The character of the new drama, ‘Tether,’ are the prime example of victims who strive to become enduring and resilient survivors. However, they must try to also overcome growing internal conflicts about why such tragedies have become a norm that society passively accepts.
The movie is set to have its World Premiere at Dances With Films: LA on June 22. In honor of the feature’s premiere at the festival, Film Factual is exclusively premiering the project’s trailer.
Hariharasudhen Nagarajan directed the drama, which was written by Anghus Houvouras. Nick Giedris, Ben Burton, Laura Faye Smith, Joanna Cretella, Sophia Dawson and Arielle James lead the movie’s cast.
‘Tether’ follows Leonard (Giedris), a grieving father haunted by his daughter’s death in a school shooting. In an effort to move on from his grief, he seeks solace in reconciling with his wife.
But as the spouses try to reunite, Leonard crosses paths with Gerald (Burton), the clinically depressed ex-school resource officer who froze during the incident and is blamed for not helping avert the disaster. As their paths collide and their downward spirals converge, they must contemplate the darkness their encounter may unleash.
‘Tether’ will have its World Premiere screening on June 22 at 6:30 pm PT at TCL Chinese 6 Theaters in Hollywood. For more information on the drama’s premiere, visit its page on Dances With Films’ official website.
