Fans of vampire horror can now watch Feed, a new supernatural thriller from writer-director Marco Van Belle. The project is now available on digital and VOD, courtesy of Saban Films.

The 83-minute horror movie puts a dark spin on the vampire genre. The drama emphasizes grief, friendship, and ancient Irish folklore. The thriller shows how a young woman forced to make an impossible choice after an intervention weekend turns deadly.

What Is Feed About?

Feed follows Orla (Grace Collender), a woman struggling with grief after the loss of her family. Hoping to help her through her pain, her friends organize a weekend intervention. But their attempt to support her takes a terrifying turn when her blood awakens the ancient vampire, Dearg-Due (Niamh Hogan).

As the supernatural creature begins infecting Orla’s friends and destroying their minds, it offers her with a devastating proposition. Orla can become the vampire’s next host and potentially be reunited with her dead family. The other option is to destroy the creature and accept that she will lose her family forever.

The setup gives Feed a horror premise that’s built around more than survival. At the story’s center is grief and the temptation to sacrifice everything for another chance to see lost loved ones.
