Mario and his friends are intent on fighting back against the villainous Bowser in the newly released official poster for the upcoming computer-animated comedy, ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie.’ The film’s distributor, Universal Pictures, unveiled the poster in support of the feature’s upcoming release in theaters on April 7, 2023.

The anticipated fantasy movie adaption of the hit ‘Super Mario Bros.’ video game franchise was produced by Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and by Shigeru Miyamoto for Nintendo. ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’ was written by Matthew Fogel (‘The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part,’ ‘Minions: The Rise of Gru’), and directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic (collaborators on ‘Teen Titans Go!,’ ‘Teen Titans Go! To the Movies’).

The upcoming adventure film stars Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike.
