‘Colin Quinn: Small Talk,’ a new comedy written by and starring the titular stand-up comedian, is extending its run and moves theaters to Manhattan’s Greenwich House Theater (27 Barrow Street). The limited engagement extension runs from today, March 30 through Saturday, May 6.
In his latest attempt at humor, Quinn breaks down the one area he claims he’s actually gifted in: personality. The performer has been talking with friends, family, municipal employees and counter people for his entire life, and can teach his audience how to be more energetic in social environments.
While speaking about the social interactions he’s had throughout his life, the ‘Saturday Night Live’ alum said: “I’m doing this show because I’m fascinated with how personality in general (and individuals in particular) have fed into society. (Fascinated might be a strong word).”
‘Colin Quinn: Small Talk,’ which is receiving critical acclaim, is directed by James Fauvell (‘Colin Quinn Red State Blue State’). The show is produced by Mike Lavoie, Carlee Briglia and Brian Stern.
Performances run Tuesday – Friday at 7:00pm, Saturday at 3:00pm and 7:00pm, and Sunday at 2:00pm and 5:00pm. Tickets for ‘Colin Quinn: Small Talk’ are $49-69 with premium seating available. For tickets and information, visit the show’s official website.
