John Travolta’s The Gentleman Thief Trailer Teases One Last Heist, Betrayal and High-Stakes Action

Vertical has unveiled the first trailer for John Travolta’s upcoming crime thriller, ‘The Gentleman Thief.’ The trailer’s premiere is helping the distributor promote the film’s North American release later this summer.

The drama will debut digitally and on VOD on July 28. Vertical will then launch the movie’s limited theatrical release on July 31.

Chris Sivertson wrote, and Randall Emmett directed, ‘The Gentleman Thief.’ Besides Travolta, the thriller also stars Rebecca De Mornay, Lukas Haas, Sam Asghari, Quavo and DJ Khaled.

Randall Emmett and Joel Cohen served as producers on the film. The drama’s executive producers include Rick Moore, Jas Mathur, Jake Brander, Henry Winterstern, Arianne Fraser, Delphine Perrier, Daniel M’Causland and CC Waknine.

The trailer, which debuted today, introduces Travolta as Mason Goddard, a master thief forced back into the game for one final job: stealing a priceless painting during a high-profile international art auction. But the seemingly straightforward heist quickly spirals into a dangerous setup when Mason discovers he has been targeted by a ruthless criminal kingpin with a personal score to settle.

In ‘The Gentleman Thief,’ Mason must outsmart his enemies and pull off the most ambitious robbery of his career while protecting his crew and navigating a deadly web of betrayal. The mission also brings an unexpected opportunity for romance – if he can survive long enough to escape.

‘The Gentleman Thief’ continues Travolta’s run of action-driven roles and reunites him with a genre built around elaborate schemes, double-crosses and high-stakes confrontations. With its first trailer now released, the feature is positioning itself as a star-driven crime thriller built around one last job, a dangerous betrayal and a master thief fighting to stay one step ahead.
